Wedding in Paradise Cove, Fiji
This couple came to Fiji from the cold Chinese winter to get married with their closest family. Their aim was to experience Fijian culture and what Fiji has to offer. They had a traditional Fijian intimate wedding ceremony at Paradise Cove resort, in the Yasawas islands.
Wedding set up at Tropica Island resort, Fiji
I had the opportunity to do some commercial photography for the beautiful Tropica Island Resort on Malolo Island (in the Mamanucas island group – Fiji). As soon as I arrived, I could feel the intimacy and peace surrounding me in this boutique resort. Sue, the owner gave me a warm welcome, and showed me a few of their event arrangements, ready to shoot! First wedding, then birthday and romantic dinners…

Family wedding at Plantation Island Resort, Fiji
Andrea and Ivan were engaged for three years, and finally decided to tie the knot in Fiji. They wanted a very small reception; six guests only, her best friend and two other families. Their desire was mainly to be with their young children Juliet and Samuel, only one and three years of age. As a wedding and family photographer it was a delightful day to document. Plenty of candid and spontaneous moments. It was a day filled with energy and with so much joy and laughter.

Pre-wedding in Te Anau
Pansy and John came all the way from China to enjoy the Aotearoa summer and for an intimate pre wedding photo shoot. The two were playful, fun, partners in crime, in love… We went to different locations around Te Anau such as the Manapouri lake (maori for “lake of the sorrowing heart”), Te Anau Downs and some more secret valleys and rivers along the road to Milford Sounds.
A wedding without guests
Laure and Cyril travelled across the world to visit New Zealand and decided to get married during their trip. Only the celebrant and two witnesses attended the ceremony. And me of course, to capture this intimate and quite unique wedding.
Advice to choose your drinks for your wedding

Tips for your wedding photography
If you try too hard to hold their head in a certain position the chin can end up being too far up or down. I’ll let you know if that’s the case though. Sometimes there’s the subconscious reflex of miming the position of the photographer’s head, slightly sideways and tilted down, and it doesn’t look quite right!
