Callan and Eliza’s proposal at Malamala Beach Club was nothing short of magical. Callan had carefully planned every detail, and when the moment arrived, he swept Eliza off her feet—literally! The surprise began with a breathtaking helicopter ride, offering them both stunning views of Fiji’s turquoise waters before touching down on the pristine island.

As a photographer in Fiji, I’ve had the honor of capturing many love stories, but there’s something extra special about a surprise proposal. When Sanjar reached out to me a few months ago with his plan to propose to Kristina at Castaway Island Resort, I knew it was going to be a moment to remember.

A proposal is an unforgettable moment, and Paul certainly went above and beyond to make it extraordinary. Picture this – a surprise helicopter ride, a private island, and a picturesque setting at Malamala Beach Club. The couple landed on the private island at 9 am, an hour before the official opening at 10 am, ensuring that they had the entire island to themselves for a blissful hour.

Mary and Carl left the Arizona desert in search of a lush waterfall scene for their home. In Fiji’s rainforest near the Nadi Zip Line, we captured relaxed, natural portraits during a scenic hike. Surrounded by vibrant greenery, they reached a stunning waterfall, followed by a fun zipline adventure - an unforgettable experience brought to life through photography.

Mickey is a romantic… And he was cooking that proposal for over six months! I was very excited to witness how his project was taking shape. He pondered on the location a lot, which is not an easy task from overseas. In the end he chose to propose at the Marriott, Momi Bay, Fiji.

Nic called me one week before his holiday with Ali in Fiji. It was a bit of a last minute photo session but worked beautifully! He wanted to surprise her with a proposal but didn’t want anyone around. We talked about different locations and Heaven’s Peak, about one hour from Denarau made sense.

Nick and Daovina had a very detailed idea on how they dreamed their engagement. They even send me a power point. It was so cute! Daovina came with a beautiful yellow dress and Nick was wearing complementary colours. She had her hair and make up done by Lodoviko, which looked gorgeous!

Mustafa and Simone during their well-deserved holidays in Fiji (after two Covid years in Melbourne filled with endless lockdowns…) wanted to do a couple photo sessions. Simone had a vison with some hot/sexy shots along the beach, split shots (over/under) and a few underwater for herself (Mustafa being not very confident under).

After 5 years being with Maira Joseph finally proposed at the Sofitel in Denarau, Fiji! She said “Yes” and was so delighted. She loved that he hired a photographer to capture the surprise, which was very thoughtful. And she absolutely loves her ring! They went back home, to the States, the mind filled with beautiful memories from their Fijian holidays and have now a lot of planning ahead with their wedding.

A travelling couple, Vida from the Philippines and Zack from the States met two years ago. During their stop in Fiji they wanted a scenic pre-wedding couple photo session in the Fijian countryside. It took them to the hilltop in the Nadi backroads. A special location, almost one hour from Denarau island on the mountain of the sleeping Giant.

Monil organised the most romantic proposal. He took his dearest on a surprise adventure. They left Nadi airport with a seaplane to land at stunning Mana island Resort. It is Fiji at its best: pristine water, swaying palm trees, white sand, islands in the distance…

Roneel proposed to Ashika at Natadola beach in the coral coast in Fiji, near the Intercontinental resort and Yatule Resort and Spa. She said “Yes!” The love birds’ complicity was heart-warming to document. Roneel wanted some drone shots to take home and he was surprised and happy with the spectacular result!

Loana and Laurence came all the way from London to Malolo island at Musket cove resort for their honeymoon. It was picture perfect! The ocean and sky were blue, they strolled by the sea crystal clear on the white sand beach while the palm trees were swaying. We then took a short walk to the top of the hill which was well worth it! The drone shots are impressive.

Lance proposed to Martha in Fiji, while escaping the cold New Zealand winter. I got to capture this special moment at Treasure Island on a cloudy day with stunning diffused light. It’s a very small island with all the wonders of Fiji: white sand, swaying palm trees, hammocks and a swimming-pool surrounded by the azure waters of the Mamanuca achipeligo.
