Elopement at Lomani island resort, Fiji
Karina and Graham contacted me with a few ideas for their wedding: they wanted to keep it simple, affordable and by the beach. They made a great choice choosing beautiful Lomani island resort. Did you know that Lomani means Love in Fijian?
Coming from the North West of the States, where it was snowing; the warm tropical Malolo lai lai island felt delightful for the couple! And was as exotic as you can get: Lomani is surrounded by crystal clear waters, a white sand beach and swaying palm trees.
The staff were very attentive to their needs and made a very special set up. The walkway to the arch of the wedding ceremony was absolutely stunning! The path was covered by jungly leaves and the floor covered with white frangipani petals. Karina was walked down the arch by one of the lovely staff, who usually work at the reception both wearing a grin that they couldn’t wipe of their faces! Api the celebrant made a short but beautiful ceremony and blessed the couple in his kind and loving way.
All the staff were gathered to witness and sang with their powerful choral voices at the end. After they signed their papers and had a glass of bubbly we strolled around the resort, first in the palm tree patch and then along the beach for their sunset photo session. Once the sun had set they had a romantic dinner, feet in the sand, right by the sea… What a dream!
